For those of us who’ve had struggles with our shoulders, trying to sort out what exercises to use for healing is often elusive. The techniques that work for some, can aggravate symptoms in others. Having a basic understanding of functional shoulder anatomy is helpful, and patience is the key, as with many of the techniques found in a well-rounded yoga practice.
In this online workshop, we will examine various forms of movement applied for both strengthening and opening the multi-faceted joint of the shoulder, using its physical body components – bones, muscles, and connective tissues, and those of the subtle body – breath, gravity, and the chakras of the heart, the throat, and the belly.
